I think Taya's favorite thing in the whole world is to be right in my grill when I'm cookin' or bakin'. Her and Corb are definiately my little chefs.

Corb really loves golf as much as his dad really wants him too, and he's actually really good at it. Let's hope it works out that way with baseball too!

O.k. in reality though Griffin has probably cried only twice in his life, he's mostly smiling and is the best baby ever.

I was trying to eat spicy food, jog, walk, do whatever I could to put myself into labor. Maybe those things worked or maybe they didn't, but he's here and about a week early, yay.

The kids are loving him. Taya just kept wanting to pull his socks & hat on and off. It's a real live baby for her. The day we got home Corb said "I think I'm gonna teach Griffey how to do everything today!"

My sis in law is a photographer for bellababy, the pics that are now taken at the hospital. I love them, it was so fun having her take such fun pictures of him when he is so new with his tags and all. Thanks Steph!

We started off the weekend with a fun baby shower on Friday for Natalie!!! Lot's of family, food, and games. I can't wait to see a little Cab and Nads baby girl!

On Saturday we had a combined birthday party for Taya and Corbin. Theme was bUgS and gArDeN. I think I've been planning it for about 6 months, it was super fun, but there's always a bit of relief when a party is over. Corbin said yesterday that he wants to start planning a "rocketship party for his 5 years old birthday party." But I'm not going to even go there at the moment.

This slide enden up being funner than I thought. After 5 hours of it being up I was able to get Taya in the house and napping. She would not stop going down.

This was the easiest birthday cake I've ever made. Just kept packing chocolate cake up to make it look like a dirt pile, so fun.

Yay for Easter time, although we had to stick leggings and long sleeves on this year and do indoor egg hunts,this is my favorite time of year!!!

once you plan on putting sunglasses on this girl, don't plan on getting them back.

Corb and his best friend Bay. Just chillin on what my dad calls "Grant lane". My parents are starting to get a small town goin on in their backyard.

Our traditional "cinna bunnies, these ones are actually orange ones and they were yummy.

We sent our kids on a hunt for their baskets, I gave him a clue that led to another clue and I think he's too young for that. One clue is enough, then he just wanted to see his basket.

The Easter bunny left droppings this year. Corb kept telling everyone that the bunny pooped at our house and he poops chocolate.

I would be over 7 months pregnant and ready to burst, really!

I would be able to pull Tayas hair up, back, and make it go curly- finally, there's just enough!

Halloween News!

Halloween was so fun this year. Quin was wolverine, he grew out a beard for a month and by halloween I was ready to see it go. But he looked just like him, and corb loved it. Corb was Bumblebee and Taya the ladybug. For me, I was spaghetti!!

Corb is totally obsessed with Transformers. He will tell you about all the characters and what they do, decepticons vs. autobots. He's always wanted the good guys, but now he's wanting megatron and the bad guys too. It doesn't help that his dad loves helping him turn his toys from robot to car ALL day long, seriously like 50 times. I guess it's kinda fun when you can re-live your childhood when they play with the same toys you did. I think Tay needs a kitchen or big doll house soon!!! It was so fun going to the pumpkin patch, Corb was super psyched about picking a 'big punkin' and I love when we get to throw hoodies and big boots on the kids.

Summer wrap

Well, it's pretty much the end of summer time and I haven't blogged a bit. It's been soo much fun, but we have picked up our Halloween costumes and Christmas decorations are out in all the stores. So, so long to a super fun summer and on to fall.

Corb started school. Oh so bittersweet. I know it's just pre-school, but seriously it was kinda sad sending him away and he was soooo excited to see Mrs. Butler and be with his friends. He got a new Transformers plate set to eat breakfast on and ofcourse you have to have the front door pic!

HAPPY 6TH ANNIVERSARY!!! We had a fun golf weekend away. Thanks g-ma and g-pa and aunt Aubs for watching the kiddos. Sorry Tay didn't really sleep too much.

SLIP N' SLIDE!!! This event in Mackintosh's backyard is always one of the funnest things all summer. it's about 200 ft. of seriously fast fun. We went down on tubes and a couple times I just flew off mine.

My sister was here almost the entire month of July. It was fun having all the cousins together and we had tons of sleepovers.

Fishing in Midway, It's the only way to go! You have to have a kid with you is the only rule (it's a kids pond). You can honestly catch 10 fish in a half an hour.

We love our cousins Bela and Van. Van has the cutest cheesers ever!

It's Tea Time! Stephy threw an amazing little girl tea party. Just us girls in my family minus Nads who couldn't come and we missed her, but after this one, I think it's going to happen alot more often."Tea" (pink lemonade) parties are fun for many reasons:

*A reason to have a party because honestly, who doesn't love parties?

*Eating nummy food

*Being with the girls and having girl talk

*Sometimes little girls are a little calmer when there's no boys around

*Oh and Taya became an artist!

Ultimate "Man"cation

I typically leave all of the blogging to Lou.... and well, there are somethings in life that you just have to share personally to give it justice. So here goes my first BLOGGING experience. We'll start it with these few words: guys, hunting, fishing, golf, food, Terminator, beach.... ya,....that about sums it up.

We started out fishing in Boca Grande, FL during the peak time of the Tarpon Season. 2 days of tired arms and aching backs from these monster fish.

This one was about 200+ pounds and 35 minutes of fighting it.

We also saw a tarpon get attacked by a 14 foot Hammer head... yep it was sweet.

We swung some stix in the 91 degree, 100% humidity

Hunting for Gators and Boars?... that sounds too easy! We tried to make it a little harder with our bows.

Happy Birthday Taya Bean! Pretty much ever since she was born we have called her our little bean. Therefore, we just couldn't have her first birthday without lot's of jellybeans! Let's get to know Taya:

*Well, she's remained a bean at a whopping 16.5 lbs. and is still facing backwards in her carseat.

*Has never, ever drank out of a bottle and at this point probably never will, but loves her sippy!

*Loves, loves, loves to dance, bopping her head, and when sitting -her legs go crazy up and down.

*Loves to fall backwards, if anyone wants her to like you, just have her go flying back or throw her up, she's a little more daring than Corb was as a babe.

*Says "ma-ma," "da-da", "hi", "ba-ba" (baby, not bottle), and lot's of jibber-jabber.
*She's had one haircut only to get rid of the mullet

*8 teethers!!!

*Loves to blow kisses and especially loves giving kisses while saying "mmmmwa"

*Pretty much runs around the house with her walking toy running into walls and turning around and taking off, but take that walking toy away and she acts like she can barely balance on her tiny feet. I'm just waiting for the day she takes off without pushing something.

*Loves to wave, play patty cake and peek a boo. If you really want a smile out of her, just sing the popcorn song. It get's her every time!

Taya is so sweet and we are so lucky to have her. Thanks to all our family for celebrating her big day with us!

I love Easter! Probably one of my favorites because of the season change. People start coming out of hibernation to see green grass, tulips, sun, and kids running around with all their toys. I love it. Egg hunts were a blast this year, Corb was way into it and he thought it was way cool that at g-ma & g-pa Macks, the bunny put coins for his piggy bank in those eggs! Speaking of Piggy banks, today we went through the bank drive through and he was screaming for a sucker. When I got the tube back he said "mom is there a sucker in there for me?" I said "No, they must be out, sorry buddy." He then says (loud) "I need to go in that piggy bank and spank their butts. . . . . . . and I'm goin to put them in time out!!!???!!!" Say what! I really died laughing! He is like a fun little buddy to hang out with everyday, he's hilarious and keeps me on my toes.

Alrighty, well I need to ease back into the blog world cause it's been a long time. But my little Corb is not so little anymore. 3 years is older than I thought. He now is answering my sentences for me and when I think he's not listening he says "nuh-uh mom". He is the funniest kid ever. He had many b-day parties this year, first at mamos and papos a few days before. Then he had his main party which was a CARS party, which he picked the theme out atleast 6 months ago and totally stuck to it. Then his cute cous Bay came over the week after and for sure we got to celebrate again with BBQ, cookies, and more bouncing!!!! So much fun, I just love the little guy and he get's more and more fun everyday!!!!

Ring in the New. . . . .

Hello to 2009!!! Well, this has been a fun and exciting year and I am sad it's already mid Jan. We had such a great Christmas especially since we have a true believer at home, it can't get much funner than that! We spent New Years in Midway, sledding on the mountain behind us and keeping warm inside. But, there are so many fun things to await us this new year. We've already sent Corb off to Preschool and Taya is pulling up and starting to "cruise" along our furniture. Today she crawled up the first stair. I am still having a hard time believing I have two awesome kids, where has the time gone? Here are some pics from the Holidays!

Some of the things we've been up to this past year. . . . .

Birth of Taya Sydell - We're having fun watching every move that she makes and she's growing up way too fast!!!

The opening of Salon Mack -I'm so grateful for all my awesome clients, fam, and friends that I do, I love you all.

Laughing at every word that comes out of Corbs mouth - Where does he get this stuff???

Quin working alot - and doing too many side jobs, but grateful for how hard of a worker he is.

Trips to St. George and Midway - They are our homes away from home!

Playgroups - I have to get Corbs energy out with his friends somehow, he's a busy man!

Disneyland with the cousins - We had a blast, let's do it again!

Golf, golf, and more golf - Atleast 3x a week until last week, due to good weather we've had. Quin is thanking mother nature for late snow!

Potty training - most recent and almost successful! (depends on the day)

And my most favorite is waking up to these two cute faces every single morning!
